New Years Manicure

Happy New Years my dolls! This is my first post coming in to the year 2015!!! This year I haven't made any new years resoloutions only just to continue to be happy. Do you have any New Years resoulotions?  I hope you all had a lovely start to the New Year. It's a new chapter in our lives lets try and make it better than the year before. Today's post is another nail tuitorial. I hope you like this post!

It's a quick and simple design so lets begin ...

1. Apply a base coat, then paint your nails white.

2. Then with your dotting tool and with black nail polish just space out the dots around your nail.

3. Now with gold nail polish and using your dotting tool space out the dots between the black dots you just made.

4. Now dip your dotting tool into white nail polish and put white dots in a few of the black dots you made earlier.

5. Do the same for your other hand.

6. Once dry apply a top coat.

7. Enjoy your new manicure!

Kylie Jenner Inspired Nails

Hi dolls, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and Boxing Day. I am back with a new post, which is something different to what I usually blog about. Its a  step by step guide on how to re-create Kylie Jenner's nails. I love doing my nails and creating designs. Where I live there isn't a nail salon that does any of the cool designs that Kylie gets done. So, I decided to try for myself. I am happy with the results I got. This manicure is simple but looks intricate. It took me a good hour to complete both hands. Have fun with this manicure, even if it doesn't look perfect don't worry about it.

Let's begin ...

First things first you will need nail art brushes I got mine from Topshop and the nail polishes ...

Barry M - Matt White
Barry M - Matt Black
Essie - Fierce, no fear
Essie - Chinchilly
Models Own - Utopia
Rimmel London- Green Grass

Step 1: You want to start off painting all your nails white. Once they are dry use nail art pens in black to create random small lines, then with the silver glitter nail art pen create more small lines. If you don't have nail art pens you can also use the nail art brushes to create small lines.

Step 2: For the index finger you're going to need a lot of different nail polish colours. Use a nail art brush and create small triangles with all the nail polish colours. Use feirce, no fear, then chinchilly, black, utopia and green grass.

Step 4: For the middle finger again use a nail art brush and paint on the letters 'Msft'.

Step 5: For the ring finger just repeat step 2.

Step 6: To creat the paint drip effect use a dotting tool and then seal your design with a top coat.

And there you have it a Kylie Jenner inspired manicure done in the comfot of your own home.

Leave a comment below let me know if you like this post and want more posts loke this. Tweet me if you try this manicure I would love to see your re-creations!

Santa Baby

Hey dolls,

I am back with another post. This one is my favourite. I love Lush products and this one is a Christmas edition. Every Christmas Lush bring out the festive products. This year I thought I am not going to miss out like I did last year. So, this time I made sure I got my hands on the Santa bath bomb and also the snow fairy body wash which smells amazingly delicious just like bubblegum. The Santa bath bomb definately creates a christmassy feel. Once the bath bomb dissolves under the water it turns the water red then it changes completely to green. It definately makes bath time so much more fun. So if your looking for more of a fun bath experience then try lush bath bombs. Don't get me wrong I love my bubble baths but sometimes it's nice to switch it up for a change and why not it's nearly Christmas!!!

A Glamorous Night

Hello my loves,

I am back with another post. Being ill has given me the time to write. There's only so much movies I can watch. My lovely friend Virginia who is a fashion blogger on www.misenscenelifestylev.blogspot.co.uk
check her blog out if you haven't already. She invited me to a night out with her but I had no clue where we were going. All she told me was the time and to meet her at Piccidilly Circus. I was so curious to where we were going, it was such an amazing surprise to found out we were going to Bob Bob Ricard. I had such an amazing time. The place is so beautiful, I love the decor it's very grand and the private booths we sat in were great. The food is amazing, just the right amount I had enough space in my tummy for dessert which is always good. The place is totally Instagram worthy! All the booths have the button 'Press for Champagne'. The fun didn't stop there we ventured to the W Hotel for cocktails which were super yummy. You need to try their Candy Floss and After Dinner Cocktail! It was a lovely experience and I am so glad that Virginia shared it with me. It's my turn to surprise Virginia with a secret place. I have found the perfect place that we both will love. I just need to get better and we can go!

Thanks for reading, I hope you will go and venture out to new places you haven't been to before.

Christmas Nails: Rudolph the Reindeer

Hello Dolls,

I have been so ill and to top it all off I have lost my voice. It's never happened to me before, It's so hard not talking. It's that time of year of being ill. But I'm not letting that ruin the Christmas Spirit. Today's post is a quick tuitorial on how to get a subtle Christmas nails. It's easy you don't need to be an expert to create this design. This is the first time i've actually tempted to try it and I am happy with the end results.

So let's begin....

1. First things first decide what finger you want your Rudolph to be on. I chose to do it on my ring finger.

2. You want to paint your nail white. You will need two coats of polish.

3. After it is dry I used Essie 'fierce, no fear' for Rudolph's face. Get the nail polish and paint a half moon shape just 3/4 of the nail.

4. Then using OPI 'brake for manicures' using the nail polish brush create two lines creating antlers. Then create small lines from the line you just painted.

5. Then using a dotting tool, use the larger point and dip that into the white nail polish to create two eyes.

6. Once that is dry use the dotting tool again but the smaller point. Dip that into black nail polish to create the pupils of the eyes.

7. Nearly there, use the larger point of the dotting tool to create Rudolph's red shiny nose. I used Essie's 'bhamma mamma'.

8. Once your design is dry, add clear polish ontop. If you like you can put glitter polish ontop to give it more of a christmassy feel.

9. For the rest of your nails it is totally up to you what you want to do. I painted the rest of my nails in OPI 'brake for manicures' because I wanted a subtle christmas manicure but feel free and get creative.

I hop you like this post, please comment and let me know what you think. If you would like me to do more posts like this let me know :)

Seventeen Gel Nail Polish: Review

Hello my lovelies, I am back with another post. I hope your all having a great day so far. Can you believe it we're in December already. Where does the time go? I am not conplaining I do love Christmas it's so magical and I love the lights. Today I have been drinking Gingerbread Latte and watching Christmas movies to get into the spirit. Today's post is about Seventeen's Gel nail polish that I bought recently I was looking for a nail polish that lasts and doesn't chip so easily. The kind lady who worked at boots recommended the 8 day gel polish from Seventeen. I was curious to see if it lives up to the claim. I bought it in three different colours. I tried the dark blue. It gives the look of a gel manicure, the nail polish is of a thick consistency unlike other nail polishes. I would suggest doing a thin layer unlike me I did thick layers as I applied the nail polish. The finished result it looks good, the nail polish has a shiny look to it. It does last 8 days, it started to chip very little on the fourth day. Which was not bad in comparison to other nail polishes. I only had to touch up the tips a little. I would reccommend this nail polish I was quite impressed.

Here's a swatch and the names of the colours. They were on a deal 3 for 2. £3.99 each at Boots.

I hope you liked this post, if you did please leave a comment below!

It screams Christmas Chic to me. In today's post I want to share with you my top favourites for this season. My second favourite is MAC Rihanna Collection 'Viva Glam 3' with MAC lipliner in 'Currant'.

My favourite and most two worn nail polishes during this time is Essie 'Bahama Mama' and Urban Outfitters 'Red Velvet'. Especially during this time I like to add a bit of glitter to my manicure. A Frosted Fantasy at Jo Malone

Hello my lovelies!

I am back again with another post, the other day I went into Jo Malone. Honestly I have heard a lot of good things about this brand but I have never ventured into the store to have a look. I finally did, what attracted me was the beautiful seasonal display as I entered the store. I loved the theme and the concept of 'a frosted fantasy'. I had a look around and I found a few favourites to add to my wish list. I love sweet scented perfumes, if you're like me you will fall in love with the scent 'Peony & Blush Suede' it's one of my favourite scent from Jo Malone. My second favourite is 'Wood Sage & Sea Salt' this scent has a subtle sweet scent to it. lastly, 'Nectarine Blossom & Honey' is a subtle sweet fruity scent.

I was delighted to find that Jo Malone offer a complimentary hand and arm massage. Not only do you get a little treat of a pampering session but you can also try the products of your choice. I chose the 'Peony & Blush Suede' range of course! Firstly, 'Peony & Blush Suede Body Wash was used then the body creme was used in the same scent and lastly the sales assistant sprayed the perfume onto my hands. I must say I am really impressed the body creme was nourishing and the scent was long lasting. Definately products that I will invest in. If you get the chance go into Jo Malone near to you and get your free complimentary hand and arm massage. You can call and book in advance or just walk in. Maybe I will be lucky this Christmas and Santa will leave a little bit of Jo Malone under the tree for me!

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post! Comment below what is your favourite product from Jo Malone? Let me know!

Lots of love,

Hey Dolls,

We're all going somewhere in life, we're always on a journey whether it be to work, school, seeing friends or going home. But today's post is not about your literal journey, I am talking about your spiritual journey and the journey life is taking you on. Life has it's ups and downs but if it weren't for the bad times you wouldn't be who you are today, you should be proud of yourself and how far you've come. In life you are going to meet a lot of people who are going to stay in your life forever or they might even stay for a while. Regardless how long they stay in your life, enjoy the journey you are on, you only get one chance to live your story. Embrace the failures that you experience in life, don't get disheartened just use that as your motivation to try harder.

Always trust your inner voice, it's there for a reason don't ignore it. Trust and believe in yourself, know what you deserve and don't settle for anything less. You deserve to be happy, to laugh and free to be who you want to be. Don't let anyone change you, you are AMAZING!

You can make a difference, it just takes one person. If you are unhappy, ask yourself 'what is making you unhappy?' Then change the situation around for the better. Don't be afraid that nothing better is going to come along. Don't stay in a career or relationship just because you are afraid, have the courage to leave. You will find that an awesome opportunity awaits for you. Life is too short to be unhappy and be brave to let go of anyone or anything that makes you feel you are not good enough. You are worth it! Believe in yourself, you have an amazing journey that awaits for you. One day you will be able to share your story with someone and touch their hearts. Embrace your story, it's just the beginning!!!

I am going to end this post with one of my fav quotes 'Eventually everything falls into place in the mean time laugh at the confusion. Live for the moment and know that everything happens for a reason.'

PS. I hope you liked this post, if you did please leave a comment and let me know!

Step by Step Guide: Scary Skeleton

Happy Halloween Dolls!!!

Yesterday my good friend Virginia invited me and my sister to her Halloween Party It was nice to get dressed up and be a skeleton for a while. The whole night we got stared at especially on public transport. People are going to talk might as well give them something to talk about!!!  (is what I say, why not it's Halloween). We met some friendly people on our journey who were genuinely impressed with our face make up but it seems in England not many people celebrate Halloween. On our travels we saw another lady who had painted her face as the sugar skull it was nice to know we weren't the only ones.  The party was great, I love how Virginia decorated her home. She's very creative and I hope when I have a home of my own one day, I would like to do the same.

Lace Dress: Chelsea Girl River Island (old), gold necklace: Zara £19.99

I have a very spooky surprise for you. I am going to give you a step by step guide on how to get this Scary Skeleton Look that I had :)

Let's begin ...

1. I used my real techniques crease brush to apply the white face paint I purchased from Sainsbury.

2. You will need to apply two to three layers. I then used my beauty blender to blend the white paint, to get rid of the harsh brush strokes.

3. Then with the real techniques detail brush I used that with black face paint to draw a circle around my eye, starting from my eyebrow.

4. Start to paint that area all black, be careful not to get it in your eye. To make the black more darker, I used a black eye shadow from my Urban Decay Smoked eyeshadow Palette.

5. Then to create depth to the look, draw two curved lines going in the opposite direction where your eyebrow is then blend that in using your beauty blender.

6. we're nearly done... draw a small 'u' shape on the middle of your nose. Then draw two lines from either side of your nose like your drawing a triangle. Then just follow the shape of your nose and paint it all black.

7. Suck in your cheeks as you would if applying bronzer. Same technique here but instead of appyling bronzer you are drawing a line with black face paint. Do this on either side of your face.

8. The best way I can describe it is draw an upside down heart from the line you have already drawn. Then paint in all black.

9. Draw a line from the corner of your mouth outwards and then draw lines going down.

10. For the lips, don't paint them white unless that's what you want. I outlined my lip with a lip pencil from Mac called current and filled my lips with that colour. Then I used Rihanna Viva Glam 2 in Frost ontop of the lip liner to create that deep dark purple.

And you're all set for Halloween!!! I hope you have a spooky one!!!

Fall in love with yourself first

Hey Dolls,

After so long, I have something to blog about!!! Which I know I am slacking on my blogging game but don't worry you can't get rid of me that easily. I hope you enjoy my blogs as much as I love writing them, I just perfer to write blog posts that I am  interested in instead of just writing for the sake of it. I never want to do that. I always want my heart to be 100% in love with my posts. Anyway ... ramble over, let's get into today's post!

Last week I met up with my good friend Virginia she's also a blogger. We went shopping for beauty products, we had a great girly catch up and I taught Virginia how to apply make up for an evening look (check her blog on misenscenelifestylev.blogspot.co.uk as she has done an in depth post on this). I love make up and experimenting different looks on myself. I am not a professional but the more you practice the more you learn what works for you and what colours best suit your skin tone. It was so much fun to apply make up on my friend. The best part was seeing my friend's reaction to the final make up look and she loved it! She looked beautiful if I say so myself.

Now we couldn't let all that gorgeous make up and curly hair go to waste so we went for Margarita's at The Terrace in Wimbledon  it was so beautiful, at night they put the lights on. I have fallen in love with the night again. Surround yourself with friends, celebrate life, be free and have fun!!!

Our fabulous lunch.

Make up!!!

My beautiful friend.

Cheers! Have a great weekend!!! I hope you enjoyed this post, please leave a comment below.

Garnier Moisture Match

Hey dolls, I hope you are having a good Sunday. Today's post is about the new Garnier Moisture Match. I discoverd this product from the courtesy of my magazine there was a tester of Garnier BB cream it was in the colour light I used it anyway to try it out because I was looking for a BB cream. To make the light BB cream match my skin colour I used my mac skinfinish powder ontop. There was also a tester of the Garnier hydrating gel called 'wake me up'. That gel felt amazing on the skin, very cooling and brightens the skin. After trying the products I was impressed and decided to buy the products I also bought the Garnier 'Goodbye Dry' cream because I have very dry skin so I wanted to see if this product works. I love Garnier products because my skin agrees with them and they're products are good for sensitive skin and they have no alcohol which is good for me as my skin gets irrated very easily. I have to be super careful of what products I put on my face.

Garnier Moisture Match 'Goodbye Dry' 24H Hydration this cream has a velvety feel to it. It brightens my skin. My face is left feeling super soft and it is hydrating. It's not oily or greasy. I really like this cream especially since it's affordable. I usually use Benefit's 'Total Moisture Cream' that is very creamy, that is something I use at night because it is oily/greasy but it really moisurizes my face and it smells good. I'm glad I found a winner I will keep buying the Garnier 'Goodbye Dry' as much as I love the Benefit cream I do love a bargain and I'm sure my bank account will thank me.

Garnier Goodbye Dry: £5.99
Benefit Total Moisure: £28.50
Savings: £22.51

Garnier BB Cream

This product is liquid based. It's light weight, it actually feels like I'm not wearing any makeup. It looks like my skin but an improved version. It works well with my dry skin on my face, it is hydrating. I love wearing BB cream during summer and especially for those days I'm running errands and I  don't want to sit there for hours doing a full heavy makeup look. This is something that I will continue to buy. I bought it in the shade medium. As the light was not my match. With this product the benefits are it hydrates, evens tone, anti-blackheads, mattifies, covers redness, 2% Salicylic Acid + Mineral Pigments + SPF15.  If one coat of BB cream does not cover any imperfections you can apply another layer.

Garnier Pure Active BB Cream: £6.66 it's on offer at the moment it was £9.99 at boots.

Garnier Moisture Match Dull Skin 'Wake Me Up' 24H  Revitalising Hydrating Gel. This product definately wakes me up because the gel is cold it's like splashing cold water on your face. It's refreshing, hydrates and it brightens my dull skin. I really like this product which would be perfect for those early mornings.

Garnier Moisture Match 'Wake Me Up' £5.99.

I purchased all these products from my local Boots.

Other products from Garnier Moiature Match Collection:

  • Goodbye Dry (for dry to very dry skin)
  • Start Afresh (for normal to dry skin)
  • Shine Be Gone (for combination to oily skin)
  • Wake Me Up (for dull skin)
  • Protect & Glow (for Normal skin)

Hillary Duff: Makeup Look

Hey dolls, I hope you're having a good Monday. I am sorry there was no post yesterday, I was celebrating Rakhi with my family. For those of you who don't know Rakhi is an embellished thread that symbolises a sister's love for her brother/ cousin brother. In return the brother gives a gift and a lifetime of protection. Rakhi is a time to celebrate in a traditional way to express the bond and love between a brother and a sister. It was a lovely spending time with the family, eating Indian food, Indian Sweets and drinking Indian Tea.

On with today's post... I have grown up watching Hillary Duff in Lizzie McGuire and listening to her music. She's one of my favourite celebs. I was watching her music video for her song 'Stranger' I love the makeup and costume for the belly dancing scene she was in. I thought why not try and recreate this look but for a night out with the girlfriends or on a date. I love the look I came up with, it's not as dramatic as Hillary's look in her music video because I wanted it to be a wearable look.

Makeup details:

The face- look at my previous post Makeup Heaven: For Dry Skin for all the details I haven't changed any face products.

The Eyes- for the base I used a light mustard colour shadow from my H&M Palette. Then I used a sandy brown ontop of the other shadow. For the crease I used a golden orange. From my MUA Palette I used a glittery golden shadow and I placed that ontop of my eyelids. For the outer v I used a light brown and mixed it with a caramel shadow. On top of that I used a dark brown and dragged that colour up to my crease. For the inner corner highlight I used a shimmery white from my MUA Palette. Then with The Body Shop Carbon Black Eye Definer I did my eyeliner then with the other side of the pencil there is a sponge and I used that to smudge the liner to create a smoky look. Then I used the same liner and used that in my water line. After that I grabbed a golden glitter liner called 2true eyeliner dazzlers. I put that near my lash line. To finish of the look I used Benefit's They're Real Mascara and ontop of that I used Barry M Lash Vegas to really enhance my lashes.

For the lips: I used Little Mix 'Leigh-Anne's Liquid Gloss'. I also used MAC's PlushGlass in 'Big Kiss'.

For the hair- I just back combed the front section and pinned it back with two bobby pins.

I used a bindi which you can find these at a Topshop I know I have seen them in there or Southall.

Outfit details: Earrings from Primark (old), Black Lace 'Chelsea Girl' from River Island (old).

And there you have it all glammed up like Hillary Duff!

I hope you like this post and if you do please leave a comment below! Don't forget to follow my blog :)
