Step by Step Guide: Scary Skeleton

Happy Halloween Dolls!!!

Yesterday my good friend Virginia invited me and my sister to her Halloween Party It was nice to get dressed up and be a skeleton for a while. The whole night we got stared at especially on public transport. People are going to talk might as well give them something to talk about!!!  (is what I say, why not it's Halloween). We met some friendly people on our journey who were genuinely impressed with our face make up but it seems in England not many people celebrate Halloween. On our travels we saw another lady who had painted her face as the sugar skull it was nice to know we weren't the only ones.  The party was great, I love how Virginia decorated her home. She's very creative and I hope when I have a home of my own one day, I would like to do the same.

I have a very spooky surprise for you. I am going to give you a step by step guide on how to get this Scary Skeleton Look that I had :)

Let's begin ...

1. I used my real techniques crease brush to apply the white face paint I purchased from Sainsbury.

2. You will need to apply two to three layers. I then used my beauty blender to blend the white paint, to get rid of the harsh brush strokes.

3. Then with the real techniques detail brush I used that with black face paint to draw a circle around my eye, starting from my eyebrow.

4. Start to paint that area all black, be careful not to get it in your eye. To make the black more darker, I used a black eye shadow from my Urban Decay Smoked eyeshadow Palette.

5. Then to create depth to the look, draw two curved lines going in the opposite direction where your eyebrow is then blend that in using your beauty blender.

6. we're nearly done... draw a small 'u' shape on the middle of your nose. Then draw two lines from either side of your nose like your drawing a triangle. Then just follow the shape of your nose and paint it all black.

7. Suck in your cheeks as you would if applying bronzer. Same technique here but instead of appyling bronzer you are drawing a line with black face paint. Do this on either side of your face.

8. The best way I can describe it is draw an upside down heart from the line you have already drawn. Then paint in all black.

9. Draw a line from the corner of your mouth outwards and then draw lines going down.

10. For the lips, don't paint them white unless that's what you want. I outlined my lip with a lip pencil from Mac called current and filled my lips with that colour. Then I used Rihanna Viva Glam 2 in Frost ontop of the lip liner to create that deep dark purple.

And you're all set for Halloween!!! I hope you have a spooky one!!!

Fall in love with yourself first

Hey Dolls,

After so long, I have something to blog about!!! Which I know I am slacking on my blogging game but don't worry you can't get rid of me that easily. I hope you enjoy my blogs as much as I love writing them, I just perfer to write blog posts that I am  interested in instead of just writing for the sake of it. I never want to do that. I always want my heart to be 100% in love with my posts. Anyway ... ramble over, let's get into today's post!

Last week I met up with my good friend Virginia she's also a blogger. We went shopping for beauty products, we had a great girly catch up and I taught Virginia how to apply make up for an evening look (check her blog on misenscenelifestylev.blogspot.co.uk as she has done an in depth post on this). I love make up and experimenting different looks on myself. I am not a professional but the more you practice the more you learn what works for you and what colours best suit your skin tone. It was so much fun to apply make up on my friend. The best part was seeing my friend's reaction to the final make up look and she loved it! She looked beautiful if I say so myself.

Now we couldn't let all that gorgeous make up and curly hair go to waste so we went for Margarita's at The Terrace in Wimbledon  it was so beautiful, at night they put the lights on. I have fallen in love with the night again. Surround yourself with friends, celebrate life, be free and have fun!!!

Our fabulous lunch.

Make up!!!

My beautiful friend.

Cheers! Have a great weekend!!! I hope you enjoyed this post, please leave a comment below.

Lots of love,
