Summer Favourites

Hello again.... I hope you're all well. Here's another post to make up for my missed post this week. The sun has been shinning and a couple of days it was really hot apart from yesterday it was raining but today the sun is shining and I know I sound like a weather girl at the moment but I promise I will stop now. I was inspired to do my summer favourites. Which entail my favourite things during summer. So moving on swiftly let's begin ...

I have been loving beachy hair for summer it's so effortless and pretty. I have been wearing a lot of sandals so my feet need to look sandal perfect and I love Soap&Glory's 'Heel Genius' it makes my feet feel so soft. What you do is after a bath put the cream on your feet and then put socks on to lock in the moisture my sister and I think this is a great product. I always find when I'm out and about I always break my nails so I find it handy keeping a small nail filer. My favourite nail polish for the summer is  Models Own 'Utopia.' I'm loving Soap&Glory's body milk, in summer I love smelling sweet. It's really creamy and nourishing I would recommend this if you have dry skin. Recently, I have been loving body mists, I find them light and refreshing and not to mention smells so good. I came across Ted Baker's body mist it smells so sweet and I keep it with me in my handbag to always spritz myself during the day. I also love Ed Hardy's body mist 'Tattoo' I had it in the perfume and my best friend got me it in the body mist for Christmas the year before last. It's nearly finished shows how much I have been using it. Finally for lip products I have been using these products a lot, I find they compliment each other really well. I use the lipstick in 'Vintage Rose' from Collection. This lipstick is a pretty nude with a hint of pink and on top I use MAC's 'Plushgloss in 'Big Kiss.'

That's it for my Summer favourites. I hope you like this post. Leave a comment below let me know what your Summer favs are. Thank you, until... next time :)

Lots of Love,

Un peu de Paris à Londres: A little bit of Paris in London.

Hello my lovelies, I know it's been a while since I have posted every time I sat down to write I was not inspired or liked anything I had written hence there were no posts. I'm really sorry if you were looking forward to my regular posts on Wednesday and Sunday. However I hope today's post makes up for it. I was so honoured that my dear friend Virginia invited me to see 'Dialogues des Carmèlites' by Francis Poulenc’s 1957 Opera directed by Robert Carsen. I was SO excited to see my friend in action. I arrived at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. I collected my ticket that was reserved for me. There was this grand stairway in front of me as I approached the theatre. I was welcomed by Virginia's friends and family. I settled down into my seat as I waited patiently for the production to begin. The theatre we were sat in was beyond beautiful the intricate detailing of the ceiling. I absorbed the atmosphere like a sponge. I was in awe. This was my first time seeing an Opera and I must say it's such an amazing experience, I thank Virginia for allowing me to be there on her special  day. I felt very posh saying to my family "I'm off to see the Opera." We were watching their first full dress rehearsal. I think they all did a great performance especially since it was a dress rehearsal, I was expecting a lot of interruptions but it was just like it was their first show it didn't seem like a rehearsal at all. During the first Act I was a little confused with the story line but thank god there were subtitles. The set is minimalistic which works really well as the set does not draw any attention away from the performers. I admire the performers, I know how hard it is to remember lines let alone they had to remember their positions on stage, each scene that takes place and on top of that singing in French. I know it's not an easy thing to do, a lot of work goes on behind the scenes but as an audience member seeing it for the first time it all came together beautifully.  The use of performers as props was very effective. The performers on stage were mesmerising. I love the theatre and I try to make sure I go. The best thing about being in a theatre is that for 2 hours or so the outside world is off and you solely concentrate on the live performers on stage. Every time I'm in the theatre I'm totally transported to the world of where the characters are, somehow I forget that I am sitting in a theatre surrounded by other audience members. I do recommend you do go see this performance at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. It's such a beautiful, powerful and emotional story line. The performance begins on 29 May-11 June.

The Disney Tag!!!

Hey dolls, happy Sunday! I hope you are all well. I am really excited about today’s post because it is Disney related!!! I am a HUGE Disney fan and so excited to answer these questions. The lovely Rachael Lily tagged me to do this tag. If you have not read her blog please do, her blog is amazing! She is such a sweet person, click on the link: www.missrachaellily.blogspot.co.uk. So, let’s begin the tag...
Question 1: What is your favourite Disney film?
This is a really hard question because I love all the Disney films that have been made. It’s between Cinderella and Pocahontas but I have to say out of the two my most favourite is Pocahontas. I have loved this film ever since I was a little kid to now. The reason why this is my favourite, is that Pocahontas is such a strong character. She’s brave, a free spirit and is not afraid to speak her mind. Besides who doesn’t love a talking tree named Grandmother Willow. I just love everything about this film, even the animals. I can never get tired of watching this film.

Question 2: Who is your favourite character?
It would be Anastasia... just love her!

Question 3: Who is your favourite Disney Princess and why?
I would have to say Cinderella because even though her circumstances at home weren’t great she was still smiling and being positive. I love that she is a dreamer, hoping that one day her Prince will come and rescue her. I don’t know about you but when I was little, I dreamed of being a princess and having a fairy godmother just like Cinderella. It’s pretty sweet how for one night she is transformed from rags to riches. I love the glass slippers who wouldn’t want to walk in her shoes ...even for a night?
Question 4: Who would you rather be, Sleeping Beauty (Aurora), or Cinderella?
I know in the previous question I chose Cinderella, she is my favourite character but I chose to be Sleeping Beauty. The reason I chose Aurora is because I love to sleep and I would choose sleep over cleaning and doing chores like Cinderella. It’s pretty sweet to be awoken by your one true love by a kiss, as true love can break any spell.

Question 5: Who would you rather be Hercules or Tarzan?
I am not a big fan of the jungle, I could not survive. I am not an outdoorsy kind a girl. I’m not the one to go camping simply because I don’t like bugs. Therefore, I would prefer to be Hercules. It would be pretty cool to have a Greek God as my father.

Question 6: Who would you prefer to be, Lizzie Mcguire, or Raven Baxter?
I loved watching Raven Baxter she was so funny but I choose to be Lizzie Mcguire because she and her friend’s get up to crazy situations. When I was younger watching this show I could totally relate, a normal girl, close with her friends, annoying younger sibling and high school.
Question 7: What is your favourite Disney song?
‘I see the light’- from Tangled.
Question 8: Which Disney character would be your best friend?
I would say I would get along with Ariel, because we’re both dreamers. We have high expectations of ourselves, we set high goals that many people think is unachievable but our friends know we are capable of anything. I think we’re similar in personality so I think we would be best friends.
Question 9: Which Disney character would be your pet?
It would definitely be Meeko; he’s super cute and mischievous. Look at his face stuffed with biscuits, how can you resist him as a pet? Now I know it’s not conventional to have a raccoon as a pet but we’re talking Disney... so it’s cool!

Question 10: Have you been to Disneyland?
I have never been, I have always wanted go since I was a child but it never happened. I hope to go; the one that my sister and I want to see is the one in Florida. It doesn’t matter what age I will be when I do eventually go to Disneyland, I will never be too old. The big kid in me will always love Disney!
Have a magical day!!!
If you have been to Disneyland leave a comment below let me know what was your best moment there? Or any suggestions of what to see? Thank you, until ...next time.

Wednesday 7 May 2014

It's the little things that count.

Hey there dolls! Happy Wednesday, I hope you're well. I can't believe it's Wednesday already, I feel like this week is going fast. Today's post is about treating yourself, it doesn't have to be an expensive treat sometimes it's just the little things. I have been really good for a couple of months I have not spent money on magazines and chocolate even though I love reading magazines and eating chocolate. I thought since I have been good let me treat myself. I love chilling out with a nice cup of Indian tea (spice tea)  reading my favourite magazines such as Cosmopolitian, Glamour and Look. I love reading magazines I find it relaxing and I love getting inspiration for new ideas and fashion trends.  I like to stay updated with the world of fashion, gossip, helpful tips and all the great things a magazine has to offer. I have a magazine collection and sometimes I like to look back and read them ... a bit like a favourite novel. This is not an expensive purchase but it's a little pick me up. When I'm feeling low and I want to cheer myself up, this is something I tend to do. It gives me a chance to have a bit of me time away from TV, social media and family. Let me know what you like to get yourself when you want to treat yourself ... Leave a comment below :)

Go on... Treat yourself you deserve it!

Thank you, until next time ...

Sunday: Chill Day

Hey dolls, I hope you’re having a lovely weekend. The weather is brightening up which is a good thing, I hope it stays that way. Today’s post is about relaxing and chilling out before it all starts again on Monday. Whether you’re going to school, collage, university or even work sometimes it’s just really nice to kick back and enjoy the comfort of your own home. What I like to do on a relaxing Sunday is chill out in my pyjamas all day, watch TV, listen to music and paint my nails. I was in major need of some new cute pyjamas as the ones I had before were small. I think they shrunk in the wash overtime or I am still growing taller, I have no clue. Least it was an excuse for retail therapy! My sister and I went shopping on Saturday and picked up a few things. For once I was sensible and only picked up things that I needed, which seems boring but are essential. I needed a new hairbrush, hair-ties, hair-grips and obviously pyjamas. I love Primark it’s cheap and cheerful. You can get essentials that you need and you don’t mind buying it again. I love Disney and I am a big kid at heart. I love my new pyjamas they're SUPER CUTE!

Primark: Disney's Bambi Pj's £10.00 and Bambi fluffy socks £2.50.
I hope you like them too and this post! Please leave a comment below, let me know what you think.
Thank you, until next time...
