Garnier Moisture Match

Hey dolls, I hope you are having a good Sunday. Today's post is about the new Garnier Moisture Match. I discoverd this product from the courtesy of my magazine there was a tester of Garnier BB cream it was in the colour light I used it anyway to try it out because I was looking for a BB cream. To make the light BB cream match my skin colour I used my mac skinfinish powder ontop. There was also a tester of the Garnier hydrating gel called 'wake me up'. That gel felt amazing on the skin, very cooling and brightens the skin. After trying the products I was impressed and decided to buy the products I also bought the Garnier 'Goodbye Dry' cream because I have very dry skin so I wanted to see if this product works. I love Garnier products because my skin agrees with them and they're products are good for sensitive skin and they have no alcohol which is good for me as my skin gets irrated very easily. I have to be super careful of what products I put on my face.

Garnier Moisture Match 'Goodbye Dry' 24H Hydration this cream has a velvety feel to it. It brightens my skin. My face is left feeling super soft and it is hydrating. It's not oily or greasy. I really like this cream especially since it's affordable. I usually use Benefit's 'Total Moisture Cream' that is very creamy, that is something I use at night because it is oily/greasy but it really moisurizes my face and it smells good. I'm glad I found a winner I will keep buying the Garnier 'Goodbye Dry' as much as I love the Benefit cream I do love a bargain and I'm sure my bank account will thank me.

Garnier Goodbye Dry: £5.99
Benefit Total Moisure: £28.50
Savings: £22.51

Garnier BB Cream

This product is liquid based. It's light weight, it actually feels like I'm not wearing any makeup. It looks like my skin but an improved version. It works well with my dry skin on my face, it is hydrating. I love wearing BB cream during summer and especially for those days I'm running errands and I  don't want to sit there for hours doing a full heavy makeup look. This is something that I will continue to buy. I bought it in the shade medium. As the light was not my match. With this product the benefits are it hydrates, evens tone, anti-blackheads, mattifies, covers redness, 2% Salicylic Acid + Mineral Pigments + SPF15.  If one coat of BB cream does not cover any imperfections you can apply another layer.

Garnier Pure Active BB Cream: £6.66 it's on offer at the moment it was £9.99 at boots.

Garnier Moisture Match Dull Skin 'Wake Me Up' 24H  Revitalising Hydrating Gel. This product definately wakes me up because the gel is cold it's like splashing cold water on your face. It's refreshing, hydrates and it brightens my dull skin. I really like this product which would be perfect for those early mornings.

Garnier Moisture Match 'Wake Me Up' £5.99.

I purchased all these products from my local Boots.

Other products from Garnier Moiature Match Collection:

  • Goodbye Dry (for dry to very dry skin)
  • Start Afresh (for normal to dry skin)
  • Shine Be Gone (for combination to oily skin)
  • Wake Me Up (for dull skin)

Hillary Duff: Makeup Look

Hey dolls, I hope you're having a good Monday. I am sorry there was no post yesterday, I was celebrating Rakhi with my family. For those of you who don't know Rakhi is an embellished thread that symbolises a sister's love for her brother/ cousin brother. In return the brother gives a gift and a lifetime of protection. Rakhi is a time to celebrate in a traditional way to express the bond and love between a brother and a sister. It was a lovely spending time with the family, eating Indian food, Indian Sweets and drinking Indian Tea.

On with today's post... I have grown up watching Hillary Duff in Lizzie McGuire and listening to her music. She's one of my favourite celebs. I was watching her music video for her song 'Stranger' I love the makeup and costume for the belly dancing scene she was in. I thought why not try and recreate this look but for a night out with the girlfriends or on a date. I love the look I came up with, it's not as dramatic as Hillary's look in her music video because I wanted it to be a wearable look.

Makeup details:

The face- look at my previous post Makeup Heaven: For Dry Skin for all the details I haven't changed any face products.

The Eyes- for the base I used a light mustard colour shadow from my H&M Palette. Then I used a sandy brown ontop of the other shadow. For the crease I used a golden orange. From my MUA Palette I used a glittery golden shadow and I placed that ontop of my eyelids. For the outer v I used a light brown and mixed it with a caramel shadow. On top of that I used a dark brown and dragged that colour up to my crease. For the inner corner highlight I used a shimmery white from my MUA Palette. Then with The Body Shop Carbon Black Eye Definer I did my eyeliner then with the other side of the pencil there is a sponge and I used that to smudge the liner to create a smoky look. Then I used the same liner and used that in my water line. After that I grabbed a golden glitter liner called 2true eyeliner dazzlers. I put that near my lash line. To finish of the look I used Benefit's They're Real Mascara and ontop of that I used Barry M Lash Vegas to really enhance my lashes.

For the lips: I used Little Mix 'Leigh-Anne's Liquid Gloss'. I also used MAC's PlushGlass in 'Big Kiss'.

For the hair- I just back combed the front section and pinned it back with two bobby pins.

I used a bindi which you can find these at a Topshop I know I have seen them in there or Southall.

Outfit details: Earrings from Primark (old), Black Lace 'Chelsea Girl' from River Island (old).

And there you have it all glammed up like Hillary Duff!

I hope you like this post and if you do please leave a comment below! Don't forget to follow my blog :)

Neon Summer

Hey dolls! I hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday. Today's post is about wearing Neon colours during the summer months. I don't have any neon clothing, I never used to like neons but this summer I'm loving it. Since I'm a newbie to neons I thought I would start small and I bought a beautiful statement necklace with a pop of neon with silver. I love statement necklaces as it adds a little oomph to the outfit.

(Here's a Starbuck's Selfie of me and my vanilla Cream Frapp).

(Here's me posing whilst trying on this beauty at H&M).

Outfit details: Top River Island (old), Topshop moto jeans (old), Statement necklace 'Imogen coloured stone' boohoo.com (new), Black boots with silver zip detail New Look (old) and Shopper Bag Tie Rack (old).

Floral cup from wilkoson's (new) I think it was £2 not sure. It's so cute for summer I love drinking my tea in this mug.

I love purchasing items from boohoo.com as they have cute and affordable items. I am not a big online shopper but I always shop on boohoo.com. I have checked the website for this necklace it seems they don't stock it at the moment but I will keep checking if you're interested in getting this necklace. I think it was £12.00 but I'm not sure.

I hope you like this post if you do please leave a comment below!

Thank you, until Sunday :)

Lots of love,

Anastasia Perfect Brow Pencil: Review

Hey dolls, I hope you're having a lovely Sunday. I have been craving spaghetti and meatballs for ages. Today I decided to make it and watched Bride Wars. I am having a pretty chilled day with my sister. I thought I would share my day with you. Let me know in the comments what you're up to today?!?

On with today's post ... I have been watching a lot of pixie woo on YouTube and they use Anastasia brow products. So I decided to see if I could get this product too, I ordered mine off of beautybay.com. I was so excited when it arrived I had to try it straight away! I got it in dark. It's easy to use, I have never used a brow pencil until now. It gives a very natural brow and I'm not used to a natural look as I love having bold and defined eyebrows. I love using Benefit's Brow Zing in deep brown. I love using this product to achieve my bold eyebrows because there is a shadow on one side and a wax on the other side. It also comes with two mini brushes and a mini tweezer which is worth your money.

I do like the Anastasia Perfect Brow Pencil but I'm more in love with my Benefit duo. It's not because Anastasia's brow pencil is not good I'm not used to the natural brow look. If you're like me and you love big bold eyebrows and you haven't tried benefits brow zing then you need too!

But if you love the natural brow look then you will love Anastasia's brow pencil.

( Here is a picture showing my bold and defined eyebrows using Benefit's Brow Zing in the colour deep £24.50. I am all for natural make up but I love my eyebrows to stand out).

( Here's a picture showing my natural look eyebrows using the Anastasia's Brow pencil in dark £18.00).

I hope you like this post and if you did please follow my blog and comment!

Let me know in the comments below what brow product you're using and loving! I would love to know :)

Thank you, until next Wednesday.

Lots of love,

Summer Snack

Hey there dolls! I hope you are enjoying the sunshine, I'm loving the weather. Except at night time it's SO stuffy and I just keep on tossing and turning. Anyway on with today's post... I know Wednesdays are the days that I do my Steal My Style: Look Book series but I thought I would give that a rest as I wanted to share my favourite snack for summer. If you do want me to continue with the Look Book series let me know in the comments! I am here to write things that you want from me too. I want to make my readers happy!

During Summer I don't like to eat heavy meals, I like to eat light meals as well as snacks during the day. I am not the most healthiest person, I have a major sweet tooth so I do eat a lot of junk (I know, Guilty). I try to have a healthy lifestyle, whilst at uni I joined the gym and only went about five times and never went again. I will also admit that I am lazy but when I do set my mind on something I do follow through. Also I lack self motivation I find it so hard to motivate myself just because I doubt myself a lot and the negative thoughts I have override the positive thoughts but I try to remind myself all the positives in my life. Your sweet comments that you write, really mean a lot to me, you are the reason I keep writing. It mind blows me that what I write someone out there (you) actually care and like what I write and that is my motivation right there. So, Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

( I know I went on a ramble there but I wanted to say that to you).

Back to the post... It's weird or I'm weird not sure but I don't like to eat salads any other time apart from in the summer. Am I the only one?!? Maybe I am. My favourite salad is a Ceaser's Salad. Apart from that my favourite snack to eat ever since I was a little kid is Celery sticks with dip. I also like to have a bowl of red Grapes, Cherries and Watermelon.

My favourite drinks for the summer is Pink Lemonade, Lemon Ice Tea, Peach Ice Tea as well as Iced Coffee.

I hope you like this post, if you did please leave a comment! Please don't forget to follow my blog :)

Be happy. Be healthy. Laugh. Smile. You deserve too!

Lots of love,

Simran xxx

Mini Haul

Hey dolls, I hope you are having a lovely Sunday so far. Today's post is a mini haul of things I have picked up. As you may know I love my magazines and I couldn't help myself when Glamour's August issue was out I had to read it! I love the little free gift you get with the magazine, it's like a little tester and if you love it you can purchase the item. I heard about the hype of chubby sticks but I was unsure about buying it and then not liking them. When Clinique's Chubby Stick was the free gift I was excited to try this product. I love Clinique's facial products but I have never tried anything else. Clinique's Chubby Stick  in 06 'Woppin' Watermelon' is moisturising, I love the colour and it gives a great natural tint to the lips.

I only went to The Body Shop to pick up one thing which was the Almond nail and cuticle oil. I love this product it has nourished my dry cuticles and helped my nails to grow. Since I have The Body Shop card which you pay £5 to have 10% discount as well as when you sign up you get a small tub of cream as a gift. (It may have changed but this was a year ago when I signed up. Ask The Body Shop Staff for more details). With the card you also get £5 off as a gift for your birthday which is amazing! When I went to the till the kind sales person told me cause I have the discount card they were offering 20% off. So, I was excited and decided to look around and I came across the beauty section. I picked up the brow setting gel which can also be used as clear mascara.  A purple eye liner it's called 'Glowing Amethyst, stay tuned for an upcoming post featuring this beauty. Lastly from a The Body Shop, I got a black eye liner called 'Carbon Black' and on the other side it has a sponge tip which is great for smudging the eye liner.

Below there is swatch:

The last store I went into was Boots which is a drugstore. I treated myself to two new Essie Nail polishes from the Summer Collection in 'Ruffles and Feathers' and in 'Fear No Fear'. I love Soap and Glory's products especially the packaging and names of the product. I got the 'make yourself youthful' Rejuvenating Eye Cream and  a super self heating deep pore detox mask. Called 'No clogs allowed'. I love the bubblegum chewing gum and I have been wanting it to come in a bottle and what do I see shopping ...it's like my wish came true it's sad I know but it's the little things that make me happy.

That concludes my mini haul, I hope you like this post and if you did please leave a comment! Follow my blog if you like my posts.

Thank you, until... Next time :)

Lots of love,

Simran xxx
